The smooth sliding panels move easily up and down on ball bearing rollers and are counter balanced with lead weights. See figure 1. Vertical motion is effortless.

10-900 Floor Mounted Units with Full Vertical Movement
As an added feature of the vertical sliding unit, the 10-900 model features movement of the sliding panels to the very bottom of the vertical rail. This feature allows the full exposure of the fixed rear panel for use as a projection screen. The sliding panels and the kick panel are all equal in height and width. This permits the sliding panel to completely hide when moved to its lowest position.
